JONATHAN HOWE LEAVITT was born on 2 Jan 1842, probably in Chichester, NH. He died on 25 Nov 1933, and was buried in the Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Gulf County, Florida.
Jonathan (aka Johnathan) lived in Chichester, and worked as a farm laborer prior to 1880. The census for that year shows he had become an evangelist, and by 1900 he was a clergyman in Danbury, NH. He then removed to Florida, and is seen (as John H) in Farmdale, FL in 1910 and in Wewahitchka by 1930. In the latter town, he was the pastor for the Church of God there. He didn't marry.
